Yoga Studio Manager

Our studio is looking for the perfect person to manage this special space, connect with our students and teachers and engage with our beloved community.

The Studio Manager will work closely with the Studio Owners to complete the required duties outlined below. And ensure a best-in-class experience for all guest interactions in the studio, from the first visit through to post-class engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations of studio, which include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee facilities including cleanliness of studio, supplies, inventory, and studio repair and maintenance.

  • Oversee instructors, independent contractors; recruit, hire and train Energy Exchangers, to ensure highest level of customer service is delivered to all clients.

  • Scheduling through Mindbody for all classes & workshops.

  • Manage client relations: manage email with clients, voicemails, and in-studio relations.

  • Build partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and individuals to plan private and group events.

  • Plan special community events and assist with special studio programming (e.g. yoga in the park, workshops, etc.)

  • Drive customer acquisition and retention; through data on Mindbody software and develop a strategy for increasing traffic, building long-term clients, and increasing customer satisfaction.

  • Develop studio culture between our instructors, independent contractors, and energe exchangers.

  • Respond to online reviews, emails, and social media messages/comments about Open Concept.

  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including some evenings and some weekend shifts, as needed.

  • Willingness to take care of small, menial tasks that can impact the scheme of keeping things running smoothly.

  • Excellent communication; ability to communicate guidelines around subbing out classes, running workshops, etc. so that all the staff is clear on the procedures and how to go about these processes.

Qualifications:

  • Visible passion for and understanding of Yoga and Wellness community.

  • Strong understanding of marketing, business development, and customer success.

  • Experience in customer service work and commitment to providing excellent service.

  • Previous experience managing teams and fostering a positive work environment.

  • Understanding of the Mindbody Software, including the Mindbody App.

  • Certification as a Yoga Instructor would be an asset.

Candidate must be available for 30 hours/week with room to expand to full time.
