As a long-time certified fitness instructor, discovering Ashtanga yoga over 25 years ago transformed Monica’s notions of fitness and awakened a deep sense of curiosity and inner calm. Since then, she has explored various yoga styles, drawing upon these rich teachings to offer classes that build resilience and free tension in both body and mind.
A student once told Monica – with a smile – that her classes were “always an adventure”. By harmonizing breath with movement and stillness, her classes are playful and dynamic, encouraging curiosity, mindfulness, kindness, and trust in oneself. With gratitude to her teachers over the years, she initiated her yoga teaching training in 2002 in Iyengar yoga (unfinished) and completed her Yoga Alliance certification in Sivatantra Yoga in 2022. The journey of learning and professional development continues!
