Kaitlyn Fordham

CYT

INSTRUCTOR

Kaitlyn began her journey with yoga by chance in 2014 when a friend asked to try a yoga class with her. After taking that first class, she instantly fell in love with the practice. A decade later, her practice has evolved and grown into a multi-faceted passion influenced by many different yoga schools, movement styles, and teachers.

She journeyed to Nelson, BC in 2019 to take her 200hr Teacher Training and a year later, in the midst of the pandemic, she started offering free classes online to friends, family and coworkers. During this time, she also completed a 300hr Advanced Teacher Training online. In the beginning of 2022, she began teaching regular studio classes. As a never-ending student, she has plans to complete more trainings to continue to grow as a teacher and practitioner.

Kaitlyn’s classes specialize in creative flows with a heavy focus on anatomy & body mechanics, strength training, self-awareness, and individual expression. With experience in many areas such as Ashtanga yoga, advanced vinyasa, and creative movement, you can expect almost anything in her classes. Kaitlyn's classes will challenge you physically and mentally while still being accessible for any level of student.

Outside of yoga, Kaitlyn has a passion for the outdoors. In the summer you can find her at the lake, on a hiking trail, in the mountains, or in the garden. In the winter, she loves skating and cross-country skiing. When she is not practicing or teaching yoga, she likes to spend time building strength at the gym, trying new recipes in the kitchen, or creating paintings with watercolours.
